Philippines

Located off the coast of Southeast Asia, the Philippines consists of over 7000 islands in the Pacific Ocean. The Philippines enjoys great relations with some of the most wealthy countries in the world, as it is a key member of several international organizations including the UN, WTO, ASEAN, and APEC. Given its challenges facing climate change and diverse population, managing diversity in the Philippines requires assessing the Macro, Meso, and Micro factors. After being a territory of Spain, the US, and finally Japan, the government has maintained working relationships with all three. Since their independence, the Philippines has adopted a democratic government, but suffers from a severe amount of corruption.
